to start this off right, let’s go back to where it all began: my tiny hometown of siloam springs, arkansas. for my first actual post, i wanted to make some tie to the beginning of this blog to the beginning of my style-development. fortunately, i’m already home for the holidays! after enjoying a wonderful (and early) Christmas lunch with family, i popped over to the downtown area for a few pictures because the weather was just too nice!
on another note, i am absolutely loving the new cobalt or royal blue over black trend. i just picked this Ganni fulton dress up, and i love love love it. another thing i’m really enjoying doing is layering different textures of the same color, and i did that here with black tights and thick, ribbed, knee-high socks. And who doesn’t enjoy a high wedged heel? :)
i really do love coming back to the town where i grew up. everywhere i walk seems to bring back some sort of childhood memory; however, it also makes me realize how much i have grown and been gone when things and people that were once so familiar and comfortable to me have changed too, taking on completely different vibes.
Anywho, I hope that everyone has had a lovely weekend, and i’ll leave you with this:
It may be hard for an egg to turn into a bird: it would be a jolly sight harder for it to learn to fly while remaining an egg. We are like eggs at present. And you cannot go on indefinitely being just an ordinary, decent egg. We must be hatched or go bad.
