valuably surviving. . .

one of my favorite parts about traveling with this music group is our January event, March for Life. Not only because i believe in the cause, but also because i love the different specific events that we get to a part of. our team started off the rally by singing the national anthem, went back to the hotel for lunch, (and saw ourselves on CNN, might i add!) and started the getting ready process. i really wanted to wear long sleeves this year, and hoped to find something with lace. mission accomplished-- i saw this on the rack and before i even tried it on, i knew. also, after many attempts (and many top-knot bun tutorials on youtube) i finally got my mop of hair into one. overall, i hoped to go for a modern look, but the lace still held a bit of that classic flair.

these are some miscellaneous photos from the trip, and you’ll see some of my best friends in each of them. pretty cool cats. thinking back on some moments like the dance party in the hotel room, meetings with quite interesting people, and freezing our fingers and toes off together, i realize even more how thankful i am for friendship and the memories we often make together.

As C.S. Lewis wisely stated: Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art... It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things that give value to survival.
