one thing i have loved about this summer is the creek. after living in arkansas all of my life, i am realizing how much of this scenery i take for granted. luckily, my parents just purchased land to build our new house with a hidden creek at its base. a lot of our family time has been spent down here in all of its simplicity and beauty. i'm sure more posts will be written on this little piece of heaven. i went through the last of my great granny mable's clothes this afternoon and discovered this high waisted black and white skirt. it was perfect for a comfortable stroll through the water.
i hope that you enjoyed this saturday.
i'll leave you with this quote that i'm finding myself go over and over in my head today:
"time heals griefs and quarrels, for we change and are no longer the same persons. Neither the offender nor the offended are any more themselves." -blaise pascal
also, this is my dad and our beloved pup, tessa.
